Luke Browning’s first season in Super Formula is not just about adapting to a new car or championship – it’s about mastering an entire country of circuits.
The 2026 campaign will take place exclusively across Japan, with seven race weekends and 12 rounds forming one of the most intense calendars in global single-seater racing.
From the technical demands of Suzuka to the high-speed straights of Fuji, each venue presents a completely different challenge – something we explored in detail in our full venues guide.
But this year, there’s something more to follow alongside the racing.

A season built across seven iconic venues
The journey begins at Mobility Resort Motegi, which returns as the opening round for the first time since 2020.
From there, the calendar flows through a mix of fan-favourite and technically demanding circuits: - Motegi (Rounds 1 & 2- this weekend) - Autopolis (Round 3) - Suzuka (Rounds 4 & 5) - Fuji Speedway (Rounds 6 & 7, 9 & 10) - Sportsland SUGO (Round 8) - Suzuka finale (Rounds 11 & 12)
Each weekend follows a three-day format, with several double-headers adding even more intensity to the championship fight.
It’s a calendar designed to test adaptability — something that will be key for a rookie like Luke.
Introducing the 2026 Season Collectible
To mark Luke’s first Super Formula campaign, we’re launching a season-long collectible pin series.
Each venue will unlock a new piece of the collection, building a complete set that reflects his journey across Japan.
Think of it as a racing lanyard — each circuit adding a new pin.
From Motegi’s stop-start layout to Suzuka’s iconic figure-of-eight design, every pin will be inspired by the track and its identity.
More than a calendar, a complete experience
Super Formula is widely regarded as one of the fastest championships in the world outside Formula 1 — something we break down in our Super Formula explainer.
With identical SF23 machinery, success comes down to driver execution, racecraft, and decision-making.
That makes every venue even more important.
There’s no margin to rely on car advantage — only performance.
