The excitement is building as we head into the business end of the 2025 Formula 2 season.
There’s just a week to go until Luke returns to the track, with plenty at stake across the campaign’s final four rounds.
Twenty-nine points separate our Hitech TGR racer from top spot in the Drivers’ Standings, but catching up with leader Leonardo Fornaroli isn’t an insurmountable task.
After all, the winner of each remaining Sprint will receive 10 points, with 25 points up for grabs in the quartet of upcoming feature races.
Luke is currently sitting in fourth spot on 125 points — and the gap is even smaller to fellow challengers Jak Crawford (137) and Richard Verschoor (135), who are in second and third, respectively.
But a number of points-scoring performances will be required between now and early December, starting with next month’s visit to the Autodromo Nazionale Monza (5th-7th September).
The fastest circuit on the calendar is sure to present plenty of challenges to all competing drivers, thanks to its long straights and high-speed corners.
A stint at the classic Italian venue is then followed by three newer additions to the world of motorsport, as we enter 2025’s final furlong.
Next up is a visit to Azerbaijan, where Luke will be put through his paces at the Baku City Circuit (19th-21st September) — an unpredictable street track that’s set against the dramatic backdrop of the Caspian Sea.
In fact, coastal circuits are a running theme in the season’s closing stages, with Lusail hosting the penultimate race after a long break following Round 12 (28th-30th November).
The Qatari track contains a testing mix of technical turns and flat-out straights, while a wide variety of corners are sure to need maximum precision.
And no less skill will be required at our final location — the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi (5th-7th December) — where wheel-to-wheel action is guaranteed, as we bring the curtain down on the current Formula 2 campaign.
Where will Luke finish in the F2 standings? Stay tuned to lukebrowningracing.co.uk over the coming months to find out!
