A different weekend structure: single race focus
Unlike Motegi’s double-header, Autopolis is a single-race weekend.
That changes the approach completely:- One qualifying session- One race- More time to build across sessions
With Free Practice running on both Saturday and Sunday, the emphasis shifts towards progression — learning the track, refining the setup, and maximising performance when it counts.
Execution still matters, but preparation becomes just as important.
Track focus: flow, elevation and precision
Autopolis presents a very different challenge compared to Motegi.
At 4.674 km with 19 corners, it’s a flowing and technical circuit defined by elevation changes and long, sweeping sections.
Drivers need to carry momentum through the lap, with very little margin for error.
Key characteristics: - High-speed, flowing corners - Elevation changes affecting balance and grip - Limited overtaking zones, making qualifying crucial
It’s a track that rewards consistency and confidence — built over time, lap after lap.
Following Motegi, the focus now shifts from recovery drives to full execution
Key areas to follow: - Qualifying performance on a tighter grid - Race pace across a full-distance stint - Tyre management on a more flowing layout - Continued adaptation to OTS strategy
Luke demonstrated strong pace and racecraft in Round 2 — this weekend is about putting everything together.
Autopolis offers a different kind of test
More technical, more measured — but just as demanding. Support Luke throughout race weekend.
