July recap: A memorable month for Luke

From making his Goodwood Festival of Speed debut in a legendary Formula 1 car to tackling one of the busiest weekends of his rookie Super Formula campaign, July proved to be another memorable month for Luke, with August also looking to be an exciting month.
Goodwood Festival of Speed
Luke kicked off the month by making his first appearance at the world-famous Goodwood Festival of Speed, taking to the iconic hillclimb behind the wheel of the FW08C.
The historic Formula 1 car, driven to victory by Keke Rosberg at the 1983 Monaco Grand Prix, gave fans the chance to see a true piece of Williams history back in action. For Luke, it was also his first experience driving a classic Formula 1 machine.
Reflecting on the run, Luke said:
"First time at Goodwood in the FW08C… just fantastic! It feels like the first time driving a Formula 1 car. It's very, very different, obviously the old cars heel-and-toeing down the box, fantastic.
"Just surreal what these guys drove back then, to think at one point this was driving around Monaco.”
Fuji Speedway - Super Formula
Attention then turned back to Japan as the Super Formula season resumed at Fuji Speedway for an expanded triple-header weekend.
Originally planned as a double-header, the event was extended to three races after the postponed Autopolis round was rescheduled as a 25 lap sprint, creating one of the busiest weekends of the season.
The standout moment came in Saturday's wet qualifying session, where Luke secured P3 on the grid - his best qualifying result since joining Super Formula. He backed up the impressive performance with a strong opening stint in Round 6 before crossing the line in P8 to add more championship points to his tally.
Sunday brought two further races, beginning with the rearranged Round 3 sprint, where Luke battled through the field to finish P10 after starting from the rear.
The weekend concluded with Round 7, where another determined recovery drive saw Luke climb seven places from P17 on the grid to finish P10, narrowly missing out on the points.

Coming up in August: Sportsland Sugo - Super Formula
Sportsland Sugo is one of the most technical circuits on the Super Formula calendar. Its flowing corners, dramatic elevation changes and narrow layout demand precision and commitment, making it a true test of driver skill.
Luke will be here between 8-9 August for Round 8 of the Super Formula championship.
