June was another important month in Luke’s rapidly growing career. The Atlassian Williams F1 Team Reserve Driver finished off the month with an FP1 session at the Red Bull Ring behind the wheel of Carlos Sainz’s FW48.
July promises to be an exciting chapter for Luke, as he balances his Super Formula campaign with his first-ever appearance at Goodwood Festival of Speed. The event will provide a unique opportunity for him to represent Williams F1 Team in front of thousands of motorsports fans. He will be driving one of Formula 1’s most dominant cars, the FW18. This iconic machine carried Damon Hill to 8 wins from 16 races, securing both the World Drivers’ Championship and the Constructors’ title in 1996. The Goodwood hillclimb promises to be a memorable occasion for Luke and marks a significant milestone in his journey with Williams.
Following this spectacle, Luke’s attention firmly focuses on continuing his rookie season in Super Formula with Kondo Racing. The championship heads to Fuji Speedway, a track well known for its long main straight, demanding race conditions, and picturesque backdrop of Mount Fuji.
The weekend represents another chance for Luke to build on his experience and confidence against a strong field of competitors. The championship will be heading back to this iconic circuit later in the season. Luke is currently 8th in the driver standings, securing P4 as his best finish so far in his Super Formula career.
As he continues to adapt to the Japanese race series while developing in his role as Williams F1 Team’s reserve driver, July is set to be a busy, but important month for the British driver.
