Luke believes that top spot in the Formula 2 Drivers’ Standings is an attainable target, with four rounds of the 2025 season remaining.
Our Hitech TGR racer has enjoyed a break of over a month since his last outing, but is set to get behind the wheel once again this weekend.
A stint in Monza is next up for the 23-year-old, before visits to Baku, Lusail and Yas Island.
And Luke is ready to push for more points over the coming months, as he explained in a recent interview with Fiaformula2.com.
“Formula 2 is going very well,” he said. “We started off with a podium in Melbourne, followed by a run of podiums in every round.
“Not quite had the ultimate pace to put it on pole yet, but I've got a feeling it's coming. So I am going to be pushing for it in the second half of the season.
“Let's just see how it comes to us. We are not getting ahead of ourselves, the team is doing a great job, and the Championship is well within our reach.
“I think it's the tightest year Formula 2 has ever had, in terms of Qualifying and the points split, it's incredibly tight.
“I am looking forward to pushing on now, getting more experience in the car and going back to tracks that I have already driven before.”
The Cheshire native is fully focused on the season ahead, of course, but also has one eye on the future — and getting the chance to drive Formula 1 cars more regularly.
“It's amazing to be trusted with the F1 machinery,” he revealed. “I love Formula 1, it's the goal for the future, and to be testing these cars I really feel like I am getting up to speed in them now, so it's fantastic.
“I am loving every minute I get to drive a Formula 1 car for Williams, long may it last and I hope to get more opportunities to drive them in the future.”
Luke later added: “The more that's invested in me, the more time, the effort, the tests I do with Williams, the more I drive the Formula 2 car, I feel like I am only getting better.
“I am ready to continue with that, and I think the experience in Formula 2 and experience in general makes such a massive difference.”
