The 2026 Super Formula season is entering its final stages, with just four races remaining as Luke returns to Fuji Speedway.
After eight rounds, Luke sits P12 in the championship and will be looking to build on his previous experience at Fuji, where he enjoyed one of his strongest weekends of the season earlier this year.
A double-header weekend
The weekend will feature two full Super Formula races, with Round 9 taking place on Saturday before Round 10 follows on Sunday.
Friday will see two practice sessions, giving Luke and the Kondo Racing team the opportunity to prepare for the weekend ahead. Qualifying for each race will then take place on the morning of the respective race day, with both races scheduled for 41 laps.
With two races in one weekend, there will be two opportunities to fight for points and make progress in the championship standings.
Track focus
Fuji Speedway is one of Japan's most recognisable circuits, measuring 4.563km and featuring 16 corners.
The track is particularly known for its 1.5km main straight, one of the longest on the Super Formula calendar, making it an important area for overtaking and slipstreaming. The circuit also features significant elevation changes, while the heavy braking zone into Turn 1 provides one of the key overtaking opportunities on the lap.
Previous outings
Luke already has plenty of Fuji experience from earlier in the season, having competed in all three races during the July triple-header.
He secured a career-best P3 in qualifying for Round 6 before going on to finish P8, scoring valuable championship points after a strong opening stint. He then lined up for Round 7 and finished P17 after 41 laps.
With that experience under his belt, Luke will be hoping to return to Fuji fighting at the sharp end once again.
What to look forward to this weekend
With just one race weekend remaining after Fuji, every point will count as Luke looks to close out his rookie Super Formula campaign on a high.
Two races, two qualifying sessions and plenty of opportunities await at Fuji Speedway as Luke looks to make the most of his return to a circuit where he has already shown strong pace this season.
