Luke’s next FP1 opportunity awaits at Monza
The Atlassian Williams F1 Team Reserve Driver will be back behind the wheel at the Italian Grand Prix

After making his first FP1 appearance of the 2026 season in Austria, Luke Browning will return to the cockpit of the FW48 this weekend as he takes on another Formula 1 practice session at Monza.
Luke will step into Alex Albon's car for FP1 at the Italian Grand Prix, marking his second FP1 outing of the season and sixth overall for Atlassian Williams F1 Team.
“I'm thrilled to have another chance to drive an FP1 session with Atlassian Williams F1 Team. It’s a great opportunity to get invaluable laps in the FW48 while building my understanding of the car and helping to bring useful data and feedback back to Grove.
“Each session teaches you something new, and I want to take every bit of learning I can from this to keep pushing my development and the team forward. For this weekend, it's about supporting Williams to help maximise the result here in Monza.”
The session will fulfil Williams' second mandated rookie test session of the season. Luke's running will provide valuable data for the team as well as gaining him more experience in F1 machinery and allow him to continue developing his understanding of the car.
His previous outing at the Red Bull Ring gave him his first opportunity to experience the new generation FW48 in a full FP1 session. Completing 29 laps, Luke quickly adapted to the car and built confidence throughout the session, gaining valuable experience that will now be put to use as he returns to the cockpit.
While Super Formula has a break in the calendar, Luke will be looking to make the most out of his time behind the wheel.
